You can make your own avocado facial mask at home with a few ingredients. Avocados are high in Vitamins A, D, E, proteins, lecithin, beta carotene, and more than 20% essential unsaturated fatty acids, all of which are excellent for skin. This mask will hydrate and refresh your skin leaving it with a beautiful, healthy glow.
Avocados are extremely helpful for people with dry skin and eczema. They are also great for reducing age spots, scars, and sun damage. Avocados contains plant sterols, which help boost collagen production.
Did you know that avocados have natural sunscreen in them? Add some avocado oil to your sunscreen for extra moisturizing and sun protection benefits.
Lavender essential oil is probably the most versatile oil out there. That’s why I chose it for this recipe. Lavender is great for all skin types, is a major cell regenerator, and is great for clarifying skin.
Check out the quick profiles below on lavender essential oil, honey, and yogurt to see more benefits of these natural ingredients. Here we go!
1 ripe avocado
20 drops lavender essential oil
1.5 tbs. honey
1 tbs. plain yogurt
Peel and mash up your avocado in a glass bowl. Add the honey, yogurt, and lavender essential oil.
Continue to mash up until it’s a nice creamy consistency. Apply to your face and leave on for 10-15 minutes. If you aren’t doing this mask with someone else, then put the rest of the mask on your body and don’t forget your feet. Your skin will be amazingly soft!
Rinse with warm water and pat dry. You may not even need to put on an extra moisturizer after this super hydrating treatment, but if you feel you really want to seal in the moisture, put on your favorite Myrrh essential oil or Argan essential oil.
